Polar Express

polar-express.jpg

So…it is official. I am going to be a reader on the Polar Express this year! I am so excited, but just got my schedule today and realized that my first night is one week from today. SCARY! Anyway, for those that are interested I will be reading the following nights:

Wednesday, November 21st (yes I know…Christmas befor Thanksgiving, but what do you do)

Saturday, December 8th

Saturday, December 22nd

If you decide you want to go (and I really won’t feel bad if you don’t it is pretty pricy) make sure to tell them you want to be on my car if there is still room (I am pretty popular) Here is the web site if you want to check it out. www.hebervalleyrr.org

November FHE

I know this is short notice, but I figured that JJ and I and a lot of people will be congregating to Logan next week to see the latest addition to the Brown Family.  I thought we could do FHE Saturday afternoon at the fossil’s house.  Just plan on meeting me and JJ there.  We will have food, games, and all the fun times we always have.  Bring your own drinks and snacks.  JJ and I will take care of the rest.  I need a count on who will plan on being there.  We will start with a lesson at 4pm and dinner at 5pm, so those heading home for Sunday have time to get there.  Please let me know, I know this is pretty close together, but the end of November will be a little crazy with Thanksgiving.  So plan on next Saturday, November 10th at 4pm.  See you then!

Christmas Gift Exchange

I took it upon myself to draw names since we forgot to do it at the last family home evening. This is was not a rigged event!! Faith helped me by drawing the names. I will try to remember to bring a hard copy to the next FHE or I will mail you one. The first name listed is the giver and the second name is the receiver. Sorry for any miss spellings of your kids names.

F.H.E. in Oct.

Okay this is Nat by the way, I can’t remember my password so I am using LB’s. We are having FHE on Sat. Oct. 28. This FHE will be in Salt Lake at our house. We would love for you all to RSVP because we have to know exactly who will all be there. We are going to have a murder mystery night. I will send your characters in the mail as soon as I hear back from all the families. We realize that the Leonard adults won’t be able to come. So let us know asap.

Top of Utah Marathon Details

tou_logo.jpg

  • The race starts at 7AM at Hardware Ranch in Blacksmith Fork Canyon. Spectators aren’t allowed in the canyon portion of the race, which is roughly 14 - 15 miles.
  • The race ends at Merlin Olson Park.
  • My assumption and hope is that I finish in less than four hours. Based on my half marathon time, race calculators have me finishing at 3:42. Frankly, I’d be overjoyed if that was my time. If you plan on coming to the race, I’d probably come around 10:30. It will be busy. There will be 2,000 runners.

Thanks for your support. It really means a lot to me.

go go go Go Go Go GOGOGO ANDY!

1st of all, my neighbor and friend Carly Rittle and her mom made this cake for me and brought it over last night! I thought it was really cute and thoughtful so I thought I would share.

As for this weekend, I was thinking enchiladas would be good. So here are the food assignments that are needed…

*Cheese

*Corn Tortillas and Enchilada Sauce

*Lettuce, Sour Cream and Tomatos

*4 bags of Chips (Be sure 2 are corn/doritos)

*Salsa

*Soda Pop…must include Diet Coke :-)

Simply leave in the comments what you’d like to bring and make sure it is not something someone else has signed up for….first post first choice…lol

Top of Utah Marathon: After Race BBQ

The Top of Utah Marathon is on Saturday, September 15th from 7AM to 1PM. The course starts at Hardware Ranch in Blacksmith Fork Canyon and winds down into Logan, finishing at Merlin Olsen Park. Unless I collapse or my legs stop working, I think I should finish the marathon in three hours and 52 minutes. You can view the course map by clicking here.

We are going to have a post-race BBQ at 2PM for anyone who is interested in coming. Just RSVP to either me and Sandy and let us know if you want to bring anything. We’ll be having a pasta dinner the night before, so you are welcome to come up and stay over the night before the race.

Anyone who comes up will get free membership into the Fredo Teabaggins Fan Club, which gets you a bumper sticker and a pat on the back. Oh, and my lifelong love and appreciation, which means an extra $1.25 spent on your birthday gift.

Good day!
