Just a reminder to everyone: Next week, June 12, is Chase’s Baptism at 8:00 PM. The 13th and 14th is the Robinson Reunion in Heber. Mother already sent out the information to everyone. The 15th, Sunday, is Father’s Day, Rod’s Birthday, and the blessing of Cache.
The week of July 7th is the D&B Reunion at the cabin. July 26, a Saturday, is the Cook Reunion in Bloomington Idaho. There will not be camping, just a day of fun with the cousins.
June 6th is Mother’s Birthday. Tonya’s is July 9th. Andy’s is July 12th. Sam’s is also in July, if you want to bring gifts to any of these events. Update your calendars if you haven’t already. If I’ve missed anything, let me know.
I got accepted into the New York City Marathon! I’m so excited! It’s on November 1st. I’m hoping Sandy, Emma and Sam can all come to watch me run and to spend a little time in the city. Now the tough but exciting part is around the corner. Not only training (I’m doing TOU, so that works well), but raising $3,000 for pediatric cancer research! The goal is to achieve $1,500 by September 5, 2008 and the other half by October 17, 2008. I know it will happen!
If you wish to donate, you can click on this link. Also, to read more about the Sloan-Kettering Memorial Cancer Center, follow this link.
I want to try and run this year’s NYC Marathon on November 2, 2008, but the problem is multifaceted - logistical (travel costs) and even more important, unless you run for charity, you are not guaranteed entry into the race. I’d like to run for charity, specifically an NYC-based cancer research charity (Fred’s Team), but I need to raise $5,000. I will have more info to come, but if you guys know of possible donors I can reach out to who would want to support me helping the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Research Center, specifically the Aubrey Fund for Pediatric Cancer Research, please let me know.
UPDATE
It looks like I have to register for the NYC Marathon first, then through the lottery and my joining Fred’s Team for cancer research, I am guaranteed a spot. Registration for the NYC Marathon is $200, so if anyone would like to donate to a good cause, head on over to Paypal. I have until May 26th.
Our week at the cabin is the week after July 4th. I believe that will also be the D&B reunion. Unless the fossils change their minds. We hope everyone can come. We will give out more information later. I just wanted to have you all get it on your calendars ASAP. The fossils have been a little busy with other things right now, so I thought I would let you all know.
For those of you who haven’t started your application process for your Passport this might be another option for you. The U.S. Passport Card was designed for sea and land travel to Canada, Mexico and Caribbean. Kim called me today and wanted me to pass the message along. I guess this is a quicker/cheaper way to obtain a passport. If you are planning on flying out of the country in the next 4 years then I would say get the regular passport, but for cruising purposes this might be for you. Here a link to learn more about the Passport Card.

We are having a PART-TAY at the Finsands the night of February 6th. I wonder why??? Hahahahaaa… Ma and Pa will be coming home at 6:32 pm. Plan on coming over to the Finsand’s for food and fun following their arrival. Don’t worry about the food. All Father said he wanted was a lump of coal…and some hugs. Pictures and labels would be helpful to Grandpa so he knows what to call everyone when he gets here. The kids have changed a ton since they have been gone. See the Dwight Cook Family pictures for details under the “about” tab.
Scott and I will provide the meat, cheese, and rolls.
The party will be at 5:00 on the 23rd. Please be prompt because we have a lot to do. Don’t forget your white elephants (one per person in your family), family gifts, and your dinner assignments. There will be lots of fun and surprises so bring your party attitudes!!
Tonya………..dessert
Sandy…………chips and drinks
Kathy………….salad
Natalie………….dessert
Jenny…………..condiments
Amy……………salad
I also sent everyone an email, so take a look at that. For those who don’t look at either, I hope you get the message. Any questions, please give me a call.

So…it is official. I am going to be a reader on the Polar Express this year! I am so excited, but just got my schedule today and realized that my first night is one week from today. SCARY! Anyway, for those that are interested I will be reading the following nights:
Wednesday, November 21st (yes I know…Christmas befor Thanksgiving, but what do you do)
Saturday, December 8th
Saturday, December 22nd
If you decide you want to go (and I really won’t feel bad if you don’t it is pretty pricy) make sure to tell them you want to be on my car if there is still room (I am pretty popular) Here is the web site if you want to check it out. www.hebervalleyrr.org
I know this is short notice, but I figured that JJ and I and a lot of people will be congregating to Logan next week to see the latest addition to the Brown Family. I thought we could do FHE Saturday afternoon at the fossil’s house. Just plan on meeting me and JJ there. We will have food, games, and all the fun times we always have. Bring your own drinks and snacks. JJ and I will take care of the rest. I need a count on who will plan on being there. We will start with a lesson at 4pm and dinner at 5pm, so those heading home for Sunday have time to get there. Please let me know, I know this is pretty close together, but the end of November will be a little crazy with Thanksgiving. So plan on next Saturday, November 10th at 4pm. See you then!
