Thanks to the Finsands for letting us all come over for Thanksgiving. It was fun to get together and play.

Emma’s baptism was one of the most spiritual days of my life. I was very proud to both baptize and confirm Emma. I appreciate all of your kind hearts, your testimonies and your willingness to support our little family, especially my dad, Suzanne, my mom and sisters. Thanks. You truly all are great people.
Well we watched Saturday conference on BYU tv and I missed all of you and hoped you all got to watch it too. I especially liked Elder Ballards talk of balance in our lives so we don’t have too much stress. You all work so hard at every thing and I love you for it but I also hope you keep things in perspective like he talked about. We will get to watch Sunday conference on Monday. We had a very tiring trip but one with great potential as far as PR for the church. We ate some of the nappiest food you can imagine! We saw beautiful country and lots of water buffalo and cows but no Elephants. This is the time of year they work them in the timber so they were all up higher in the mountains. We stayed in the sme places that the Prime Minister of the country stays when he visits and believe me they neede a clean job from our standards but I kept telling myself this is their very best and I need to appreciate their sacrifice for us. Especially the food, some of which looked just like the girls mud pies at the cabin and I do not exagerate. The roads in the pickups were worse than the one up Prov Canyon and our guy was ‘three sheets to the wind’ by the time we left and we flew over most of the bumps. Every muscle is still feeling it. Quite an experience. What a difference freedom makes! Thailand has twice as good schools and roads and it is because of a wize king many years ago. We had a wonderful Fast and Testimony meeting today. We had an interpretor so we actually knew what they were saying and most of the Lao people that had been recently baptized bore their testimonies and they were so sweet and sincere. They all said how happy the gospel has made them and that they feel much more worthwhile and loved now. It was very much full of the spirit. Well I know pa has sent his journal so that is all for now. I love you all so much and am very proud of all of you.
