So, Scott did a nauvice triathlon this morning. He loved it. He wants to do a full one next time. He did pretty good except for the swimming. He needs to work on that. He’s been running with his partner in Las Vegas and he’s the one who got him to do it. I was proud of him.

Just a reminder to everyone: Next week, June 12, is Chase’s Baptism at 8:00 PM. The 13th and 14th is the Robinson Reunion in Heber. Mother already sent out the information to everyone. The 15th, Sunday, is Father’s Day, Rod’s Birthday, and the blessing of Cache.
The week of July 7th is the D&B Reunion at the cabin. July 26, a Saturday, is the Cook Reunion in Bloomington Idaho. There will not be camping, just a day of fun with the cousins.
June 6th is Mother’s Birthday. Tonya’s is July 9th. Andy’s is July 12th. Sam’s is also in July, if you want to bring gifts to any of these events. Update your calendars if you haven’t already. If I’ve missed anything, let me know.
Grandmother Cook, always a lady. We had so much fun playing Rummikub with her. I never liked her meatloaf, too many onions, a continuing tribute to her husband who would eat them like apples. She was a good cook with everything else, however. She was a trooper, camping at the Reunions until we went to Deseret Land and Livestock. She took care of her family on her own after her husband’s death. She got two sons, a daughter, and herself through college after his death. She saw all her children and most grandchildren married in the temple. She saw most Great grand children baptized. She made all the great grandkids quilts that they all loved. She made all her grandchildren pillow cases and such for their weddings. She served in the temple and many other church callings. She loved to sing. She loved her family. She loved playing games and laughing. One specific memory that may seem silly to some, but is wonderful for me is this: one day she was at our white house in Providence and I was getting in trouble about a huge snarl in my hair. She took me behind the couch, out of sight of others, but close enough to still be a part of things, and carefully and patiently combed it out. It was such a simple thing but I’ve always remembered it as a loving gesture. I will miss her terribly. I’m happy, though, that she will finally get her wish to be reunited with her beloved husband, who’s been gone for so long.
Our week at the cabin is the week after July 4th. I believe that will also be the D&B reunion. Unless the fossils change their minds. We hope everyone can come. We will give out more information later. I just wanted to have you all get it on your calendars ASAP. The fossils have been a little busy with other things right now, so I thought I would let you all know.
Don’t you just love them. Everyone has their favorites. The smart thing they do is only sell them once a year. This way you buy more than you normally would because you know you’ll eventually run out. Maybe they should start selling them twice a year. Anyway, although smart, I think it’s very cruel to make us wait so long. By-the-way, my favorite are the mint.
It’s been a little quiet on the blog lately. Just because the fossils are home doesn’t mean we have to stop. So, here’s the quote of the day. Who said: “It’ll all work out”. Hint, there could be more than one answer and it’s not from a movie.
Just wanted to wish the best Father in the world a Happy Birthday!! We love you!!
