This was a crazy, amazing, wonderful, exciting, fun, enjoyable, and memorable experience. I felt horrible about missing the home-coming, but this was an experience I will never forget. These people live in pure poverty, and yet, they are truly some of the most happy people I have ever met. It is funny because on my mission I met many very poor people and many times they looked to blame many people. These beautiful people are very excited about life and just love everyone. The children are so precious and I can just see the Savior gathering them close. I just wanted to bring each of them home. It is not that they “need” things, it is just they “deserve” more.
We met with many looking for micro loans and it was awesome to see their desires. Some, naturally looking for handouts, and some with true intentions of becoming self sufficient and assisting their people.
It was amazing! Look at the pictures.
Well, sorry I wont see any of you this weekend, especially sorry Ma and Pa that I will be missing your home-coming. I am here in Nicaragua and it is crazy. I believe I am catching a very small glimps of what Ma and Pa went through on their mission and maybe this is my way of hearing their words call from the dust. I have been taking a tone of pictures and working with a lot of people. I am excited to tell you about it as it has been a great experience so far. It is crazy how little people have and how they even got to the point they are at is crazy to me.
I wish I could be there this weekend; please know I love and miss you all.
Anyway, the first one to read this, please call Natalie and have her call me on Bevan or Tom’s phone: 8014271777 or 8013183028.
Love, Boyd
In what movie is this line from, “I just hit a water buffalo; may I borrow your towel?”
Andy, this is a way SWEET web site!!!!! It looks awesome and is awesome. Great new look and layout. Thanks for doing it. Now, if we can just keep the girly stuff to a minimum, like Jane Freaking Austen.
Yesterday was awesome. Natalie and I are in Midway celebrating 10 years! Way awesome. So yesterday my remembrance of the Lord’s hand was in the fact that there are no mistakes. There are learning experiences, the present, which is a gift, and the future, which we create. I deserve to teach my kids to not wish their life away, but to live in the moment and be the person they know they are in that moment, and if they do so, they will naturally create a legacy for their posterity. I remembered yesterday that the past ten years with my beautiful wife have been wonderful and that I can make the next ten even better by being the embodiment of joy in each moment; creating love, abundance, and divinity in each moment.
I love you all and thanks for letting me write this on the board. I may start doing so on my own, but thought I would share these with you all. Love, Boyd
Ok, so I decided to follow Elder Eyring’s council and write a “Remembrance of the Lord’s Hand” each day. I will start with this one. Last night Natalie and I had a chance to attend an awesome event at Steven Covey’s home in Provo. It was such an amazing home. In stead of being full of all these worldly possessions his home was full of family, glimpses of the eternities, and passion for beauty. There I was able to meet Mit Romney, Steve Covey himself, some of Steve Covey’s family, Truman Manson, Meg Whitman (CEO of Ebay), Robert Allen, and so many others. It was an amazing time. My remembrance was that of family. These great men, so many of them anyway, were totally reflections of their dedication to their family. Family is the heart and key to a great life, not only here, but in the eternities. I love you all and am grateful for an awesome family. My wife, children, and all of you. I love you all.
to add comments. After talking with some of the fam, I think it would be best to keep the rotation for the Holidays the way it is; however, it would be up to the individual families to decide if they want to see the focials two years in a row, just as they saw the other family two years in a row. There are to many families it would effect to change the rotation. I thought it would be best if I said this, since it doesn’t make a difference to Natalie and I, given the fact that Natalie is an only child and we do not have to worry about other siblings and their rotations.
I love having Christmas together, but thought this needed addressed, especially after Pa’s email. Love you all and look forward to the Holiday season! Can’t wait for the Cook party, the food, the football, the children excited and joyful, and most of all the remembering of our Savior. God bless you, every one.
Okay, I thought I might as well put some pictures from our Chicago trip on here as well. It was way fun. I told our friends last minute, like two or three days before leaving and they said, “we’ll come”. It was great to have them.

Well, the Leanards have been very good kids. They love saying prayers and reading their scriptures each night and even say our cheer with us. They are all very good readers. Each have a good testimony. We had a regional conference on Sunday and they were very well behaved. Kaden didn’t have his scriptures and as we pulled into the parking lot said, “it feels weird not having my scriptures.” It was very precious. Tonight we carved pumpkins. Each got to pick out their own pumpkin, from a real pumpkin patch, and then drew their face for me to carve. Kaden and Alex carved their own and did an awesome job. The hole time Alex was carving hers, Kaden was right there coaching. It was fun. Anyway, there are some photos on Flickr.com Sorry if this link doesn’t work.

We would love for you all to RSVP because we have to know exactly who will all be there. We are going to have a murder mystery night. I will send your characters in the mail as soon as I hear back from all the families. We realize that the Leonard adults won’t be able to come. So let us know asap.
