Thanks to Kathy for letting us stay at her house for the half marathon, we had a great time and she and her family, as always, are gracious hosts. Thanks also for coming to the race! The friendly faces among 7,000 participants was fantastic. I finished the half marathon in 1 hour and 43 minutes, one minute faster than last year. I finally broke the sub 8-minute mile pace and ran a 7:55 mile pace for the event. I finished 318 out of 3,819 half-marathoners and 40 out of 235 males my age. Overall, I’m pleased!

I am so proud of you, Andy! It’s awesome to see you set your mind at something and accomplish it. I always get tears in my eyes at those races. To hear people cheering for complete strangers and yelling words of encouragement to them along the way; to see the runners cross the finish line and accomplish their goal…it’s quite moving!!! Thanks, Andy!
GJ Andy. Sorry we missed it, but Disneyland was GREAT!!! Sounds like you did great and you made your time which is quite an accomplishment.
I am so sad that I missed it. I am sorry again for being a slacker. If it makes you feel better I was at least preparing my lesson for church when you were finishing. I love you!
