HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHANE, AND MANY MORE

Hope you get to have a meal at Maddox or a special some thing at home. We are glad you are in our family. Have a great day.

Go See Cloverfield this Weekend!

Anyone who saw “Transformers” in the theater this summer saw the preview for this movie. I saw it this evening at a press screening in SLC and I loved every minute of it. You may want to take some dramanine for motion sickness and some depends so you don’t soil yourself too bad, but pound for pound, this is a fantastic thrill ride. It’s a summer popcorn movie in the middle of January.

Up Your Street Cred: Lesson #1 - Comptarded

Dwight and Barbara will be home soon and now is probably the best time for them to start re-acclimating themselves to the street slang and urban-speak used here in the good ol’ US of A. So, today I inaugurate the first lesson to give D&B some serious mad skills and street cred.

Today’s word?

comptarded

A compound of “computer” and “retarded.” Describes someone with limited computer knowledge, especially someone whose age or industry should indicate extensive computer skills.

“Kerry doesn’t even know how to send images to other people over the net; she’s completely comptarded.”

Lil’ Sam Goes to Church

Sam is in CTR 5 this year and he was excited to get dressed in his new church clothes today. He’s a cute lil’ guy.

Funny Subway Commercials

These are hilarious. Very poignant for the new year. But definitely not applicable to our starving Ethiopian senior missionaries in Laos.

You Are Loved

I hadn’t heard this song before Sandy introduced me to it (she burned a CD with this tune for all the YW in our ward), but it really has a great message and is uplifting. A little slow for my tastes and definitely not a workout/marathon song.

Best of 2007: Music

3. “Thnks fr th Mmrs” by Fall Out Boy.
