Yesterday was awesome. Natalie and I are in Midway celebrating 10 years! Way awesome. So yesterday my remembrance of the Lord’s hand was in the fact that there are no mistakes. There are learning experiences, the present, which is a gift, and the future, which we create. I deserve to teach my kids to not wish their life away, but to live in the moment and be the person they know they are in that moment, and if they do so, they will naturally create a legacy for their posterity. I remembered yesterday that the past ten years with my beautiful wife have been wonderful and that I can make the next ten even better by being the embodiment of joy in each moment; creating love, abundance, and divinity in each moment.
I love you all and thanks for letting me write this on the board. I may start doing so on my own, but thought I would share these with you all. Love, Boyd
Thanks, Boyd. Andy is telling me that all the time….”be in the moment.” It’s good advice…and spending time with family is most important! Love you!
I also tell her to “clear the mechanism” but I’m not even sure I know what that means.
“Clear the mechanism” means to clear your thoughts of everything other than what you are doing at that time…to focus only on what your goal at that moment is…not getting distracted by other things or people…
Such as if you are reading a book and it’s like the most tense and important part of the story…the one you’ve been waiting the whole book for…and your husband yells up to you to come and watch him play a game on the XBox because he is winning…you simply ignore what he is saying, do not respond, and simply continue reading!!!!! I am actually really good at “Clearing the mechanism.”
Or when you’re in the process of “clearing the mechanism” while playing Guitar Hero and you’re about ready to hit 100% and five stars on a really difficult song and a certain someone comes up and starts playing Barbara Walter’s 20 Questions Jamboree. At that point, “clearing the mechanism” is almost impossible. Kind of like a yappy chihuahua dog biting at your heels while jogging.
Well, we all have things we need to work on, Andy, and I guess “clearing the mechanism” is one of yours….hahahahahahaha
Well, I think we might need some cold water out there in Hyrum. Let’s remember the purpose for the post. Thanks, Boyd. That was a great reminder. It’s always good to stop and enjoy the moment while it’s actually happening.
Lighten up, yo!
