A Writing

Ok, so I decided to follow Elder Eyring’s council and write a “Remembrance of the Lord’s Hand” each day. I will start with this one. Last night Natalie and I had a chance to attend an awesome event at Steven Covey’s home in Provo. It was such an amazing home. In stead of being full of all these worldly possessions his home was full of family, glimpses of the eternities, and passion for beauty. There I was able to meet Mit Romney, Steve Covey himself, some of Steve Covey’s family, Truman Manson, Meg Whitman (CEO of Ebay), Robert Allen, and so many others. It was an amazing time. My remembrance was that of family. These great men, so many of them anyway, were totally reflections of their dedication to their family. Family is the heart and key to a great life, not only here, but in the eternities. I love you all and am grateful for an awesome family. My wife, children, and all of you. I love you all.

Thanks for the great thought. How neat to meet such prominent people and feel the Spirit there. We certainly have beeen blessed with a great family in all our children and grandchildren and our heritage on both the Cooks and Robinsons. I hope we can endure to the end so we can all be a family in the Eternities.

That sounds like the who’s who of Mitt Romney campaign supporters in Utah. I’d like to pick there brains, especially Meg Whitman’s. I’m waiting for Romney and McCain to go 9 rounds over dirty politicking in regards to religion. Frankly, up to this point, I don’t see any candidate that strikes my fancy. Definitely not Hilary - and not because she’s Bill’s wife, but because she’s got some ideas I don’t agree with. Not Thompson. Not Gulianni. Definitely not McCain. That guy is John Kerry of the Republicans. I think at this point it would be down to

Down to what Andy!!! I was getting really excited to see who it was getting down to for you. I had some of those same thoughts too Andy but we all deserve to have a say in who our President is so now if none of them strike your fancy as you said then pick the one who you know will have the most integrity throughout their term. That is what it comes down to for me. I want someone with experience, who as made done the things that nobody thought were possible and had not only done it once but time and again. My vote I will make public is Mitt. He believes in the importance of family values that are similar to mine, he is a business man. He understands Government. It is a right fit for me.
