I took it upon myself to draw names since we forgot to do it at the last family home evening. This is was not a rigged event!! Faith helped me by drawing the names. I will try to remember to bring a hard copy to the next FHE or I will mail you one. The first name listed is the giver and the second name is the receiver. Sorry for any miss spellings of your kids names.

12 days ago, Father sent out an email to find out who said the following (although the direct quote was a tiny bit different then what Father had written)…
“God does not begin by asking us about our ability, but only about our availability; and, if we then prove our dependability, He will increase our capability.”
It was Neal A Maxwell from the July, 1975 Ensign…..I know, I am amazing!!!!
So I waited in line with Chefy (Dan), Lola (Allan) and Tacomaker (Nick) at EB Games! It was pandemonium! These are the pics I got before the security guard told me no pictures allowed! I said, “Don’t tase me bro!”

Hope you have a really exciting real Birthday! We love you and know that you are a very good and beautiful girl. Have a great year!
This aired Sunday on Fox, but you can see it here, without commercial interuption, on YouTube.

Recap of Halo 2
See you in line tonight!
**UPDATE**
Peter Jackson, the fellow who directed Lord of the Rings, signed on to get the Halo movie made, but as of now, financing had fallen through. Well, the director Jackson signed on has made three short Halo 3 films and I must say WOW. Okay, I take that back. The first one is gay. The second one is better and the third is unreal. Very cool. See below.

Today was Lori’s farewell. It was so neat. This is not meant as a guilt trip…I just wanted to share with you all how it was.
Lori gave a great talk about keeping our baptismal covenants. She talked a lot about building up the saints and taking care of each other. She briefly touched on an experience she had when her Father died (it was 5 years ago today). She shared how the next day after Uncle Kent had passed she really had a hard time and cried all the way to school. Then when she got home the ward had been to their house and mowed the lawn, planted flowers and just made their house look beautiful. It was just the thing to lift her spirits and she says that is part of keeping our baptismal covenants….serving each other. After church she told me how much it means to her to get Father’s emails, that they have lifted her up….keeping in touch with Father makes her feel closer to her own father….that a part of him is still here. It was such a neat experience.
Dave came over and sat by me….you’d hardly recognize him…he’s grown a full beard!!! But he is still a cute guy! I also got to sit next to Grandmother Cook, Aunt Connie and Uncle Charles. They are all doing well. I joked with Grandma that I wished she’d have brought her hankie with her so she could make “babies in a blanket” for me…lol. She thought that was pretty silly.
Well if you guys get a minute write Lori a little note and mail it to the MTC.

My dad, mom and Mary all came over Saturday night to celebrate Emma’s 9th birthday. Needless to say, she got spoiled! Some new church dresses, an IPOD and the game Guitar Hero II for the XBOX 360. We had fun playing that game as a family and Emma loved her princess cake that Sandy made! Some pictures below!

Oh, and here’s one for Aunt Kathy, who got Emma this cute sleeping mask. It’s getting good use, Sneaky!
Emma was in the USU homecoming parade on Saturday for the Cache Children’s Choir. By the way, the woeful Aggies lost to San Jose by giving up a fourth quarter lead…again. Here are a few pics!
Okay this is Nat by the way, I can’t remember my password so I am using LB’s. We are having FHE on Sat. Oct. 28. This FHE will be in Salt Lake at our house. We would love for you all to RSVP because we have to know exactly who will all be there. We are going to have a murder mystery night. I will send your characters in the mail as soon as I hear back from all the families. We realize that the Leonard adults won’t be able to come. So let us know asap.
