A great Project

The Church encourages us to partner with other NGO’s (non-governmental organization) on projects. We found an NGO we were very impressed with and finally got to team up with them on five schools. The NGO is Room to Read. They build classrooms in conjunction with small library’s for schools. The thing we like about them is that they expect the villages to participate. They provide the material, but the villagers build the schools. A great Church principle is shown with this approach. We agreed to provide the materials for five toilets to go with the five shools which they had planned. One particular school, we had already committed to build a well. If you click here, you can see some photo’s of this project. It has been a fun one. We were out the other day and they were all working so hard on the project. I counted over 50 villagers there working.

Something New to Try: Facebook

Well, if you are bored, check out Facebook.com and create your own little profile. It’s kind of like MySpace, minus the creepy pedophiles and crappy layout. You can view my Facebook profile by clicking HERE. Let the August doldrums continue!

Hi little cutie. We are wishing you a day filled with all the fun you can stand. Hope you get lots of fun things and get to blow out candles and everything! You are a fun and very sweet and smart girl. We Love You!

Top of Utah Marathon: After Race BBQ

The Top of Utah Marathon is on Saturday, September 15th from 7AM to 1PM. The course starts at Hardware Ranch in Blacksmith Fork Canyon and winds down into Logan, finishing at Merlin Olsen Park. Unless I collapse or my legs stop working, I think I should finish the marathon in three hours and 52 minutes. You can view the course map by clicking here.

We are going to have a post-race BBQ at 2PM for anyone who is interested in coming. Just RSVP to either me and Sandy and let us know if you want to bring anything. We’ll be having a pasta dinner the night before, so you are welcome to come up and stay over the night before the race.

Anyone who comes up will get free membership into the Fredo Teabaggins Fan Club, which gets you a bumper sticker and a pat on the back. Oh, and my lifelong love and appreciation, which means an extra $1.25 spent on your birthday gift.

Good day!

The Strategic CFO

This is the name of my new business. I now have two assistance, Amy and a guy named Chris Anderson. Chris has been in the tax world for over five years and was a part owner of a tax practice. It has been great to have their assistance and I look forward to utilizing their abilities. It is a lot more difficult to run a business then one could plan for, but that is why have am surrounding myself with people such as these. I am just finishing up some pages of a book that will be published soon. It is just a short little part, but it has been a very interesting learning experience. I was going to have Andy edit it, but I was just running way to short on time; next time for sure Andy.

Anyway, I want to let you all know, sorry for the late notice, that I will be on a radio show tomorrow at 9:00 am. You can either log onto the internet or tune in on the radio. Go to freedomfasttrack.com and click on the radio links or tune in on KTALK AM 630. This one is only an hour where the last one was two. I guess I was too boring last time.

Just thought I would put that out there. Hope everyone is doing well. Natalie gets home tomorrow from girls camp so it will be great to see her again. I know the girls are anxious to see her. We love you all and hope the best for everyone.

Summer is Winding Down

This summer has flown by so fast. I can’t believe Emma goes back to school in a few weeks and the marathon is only six weeks away. This was a fairly relaxing weekend; we didn’t do anything or go anywhere, just had Mary over Friday night (for our 17 mile run on Saturday morning) and my dad over for Sam’s belated birthday on Saturday. Some pics below for your viewing pleasure. Hope everyone else had a great weekend. Just as an FYI, we’re going to Lagoon on August 18th if anyone wants to join us.

We had a great time. You will also see some pictures of Eliza and Abigail’s lemonade stand. They were so cute about it. They want to do it every day; which, depending on how things go at the new work, they might be out there with Aunt Amy. Natalie will have to give you the details.

Love, Boyd

Amy says Goodbye

dscn0719.JPG
Well today I said goodbye to Cook Martin Poulson…it is going to be sad not to see Rod every day, but I am off to see what I can learn from Boyd. Here is a picture of my key board, notice how some of the letters are missing. It is a good thing I know how to type. That was brand new when I started. I will miss my little black friend :) So long little black friend, may you type as well for the next CMP know-it-all.

The Bourne Ultimatum
