Thailands official name was Siam up until June 24, 1939 when it was changed to Thailand. Between 1945 and 1949 it was again called Siam. So Siam was an real country unless you are talking about the other “SIAM” which stands for the Society of Indian Manufactures. If that is the case then SIAM is not an real country.
Anna was a real person and credited with stimulating the interest in education for all of Siam.
I forgot to answer the question as to where it is. It is about 1/2 mile to the south of where Ma and I live. In the movie, the King is taking his family to the summer home up at Nong Kai. That is where we go shopping about every other week.
GJ, Father, GJ! It was on TV last night and I wasn’t sure, so I thought it was a good question!
