Chicks and Ducks and Geese Better Scurry!

Sandy had Young Women and I’ve made a goal to not have my kids sit in front of the TV or be bored this summer, so after dinner we went for Aggie ice cream and to feed the ducks. The Aggie ice cream was tasty (I think - only the kids partook) and was $4.38. I had a Dr. Pepper and it was $1.06. Later we washed Mary’s jeep for $1.50.Then we cruised Main Street in Mary’s jeep (I’m babysitting while she’s at her two-weeks-a-year Army gig) and visited Aunt Prego to confirm the triathlon details for this Saturday.

Movie Quote Quiz

Barb won last week for guessing the quote from “Fight Club” right. Here is this week’s quote. I figure since we just remembered D-Day, this might be nice.

“We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post.”

Condo Hijinx

Well, it rained and snowed. It was sunny and warm. It flooded, but all-in-all, it was good fun. Nice to get away from computers, the news, cell phones, Xbox, Days of Our Lives and our jobs and just relax. Sandy read some books. I read a book. I wrote a short story. The kids swam non-stop. It was fun times. Note to Self: Stop picking dates in early June.

Robinson Reunion

We had a great time at Rifle Gap. It was a fun place to have the reunion. We had to make it a short trip, up Friday and home today. We stopped at Grandma and Grandpa’s as well as the Dino Park on the way home. Grandma looked good while we where there, but has been having a hard time; so, if any of you can, I would suggest going and visiting. They love seeing everyone and even Grandma loves telling you about how great life is.

NRT Program

pict5975.JPG

Thawan is just messing around here - he served as one of our translators. By the time the training was all done the translators all felt they could then not only perform the procedures but teach the course. You can see more about what we did for over a week by clicking on NRT. Thawan is in our Branch Presidency. He served a mission in Thailand. He is a great guy.
