ABC’s Extreme Home Makeover in Logan this Week

I don’t know if you guys have heard about this or not, but Kartchner Homes will be joining with volunteers to give Janet Pauni and her nine children a new home. Apparently her husband passed away in 2004 and they run four businesses to stay afloat. Still, the family finds time to volunteer and help in the community. You can read more at the Kartchner Homes website.

Fun items from Lao

The first picture is the family wagon. We often see five on a motorcyle but I have not been able to capture a picture of that. Notice the one little girl standing. We see this a lot. Particularly when the child is between the parents.

The second is unique for Lao. Usually the dogs are just scruffy muts but this one is really taken care of well. The girl is one of the many cute Lao children.

The 3rd is the welcoming party at the SLC airport for the VIP’s that BYU brought to their law and religion semposium. Our Lao toutor is on the left, the couple in the middle were the country directors in Lao that the Child’s replaced, the gentleman in the open suit jacket with his arms around the two Lao VIPs is Cecil, my cousin whom we replaced.
