theallamericanrejects.jpg

In an attempt to better understand the Young Women and Men of the Church, Sandy and Andy will be going to see The All-American Rejects in concert on December 8th at Saltair. If that doesn’t make you stand up and say, “Sweet, sweet nectar of joy!,” then I just don’t know what will. And, in case you are like “All American Hoobiewhatty?,” I leave some links for your viewing pleasure.

AAR - Dirty Little Secret

AAR - Move Along

AAR - It Ends Tonight

AAR - Top of the World

If you watch those and want to go with us, buy some tickets via this link and let us know!

PS - In the “Dirty Little Secret” video, people are holding up postcards of secrets, those are from a website called Post Secret.com, which was started by a suicide hotline worker who realized people wanted to kill themselves many times because they couldn’t “confess” a secret. So, people mail their anonymous secrets in on homemade postcards and he posts them on the site. Some are funny. Some are sad and some are kind of disturbing.

Scientists Find Fossils Married for 39 Years at Religous Site in Provo

PROVO (AP) — Scientists found two married fossils at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah today, in what many in the scientific community are calling a landmark find. Dieter P. Lichtenstein, of the University of Denmark, said the fossils, aptly named “D” and “B”, had been joined together for 39 years, unheard of in today’s climate of divorce. Lichtenstein, wearing leather liederhosen, wooden clogs and a Peter Pan hat, asked the leaders of all nations to have a moment of silence for this tremendous feat. At presstime, only the African nation of Pacowassagewddawg had responded.
