August usually signals the end of the summer popcorn movies and the shift into more serious, Oscar-caliber films. While “World Trade Center” isn’t going to win any major awards or garner any nominations for Academy Awards, it is a strong movie that is nothing short of inspirational. If anything, it reminded me how 9/11 shook everyone from a deep sleep and forced us to see that despite different skin color, religion and economics, we all want the same thing: Happiness and safety. People step up when that’s infringed and that is what is inspiring to me.
Check out the trailer for “World Trade Center.”
I took Friday off and took Emma and Sam to the LAC, that’s gangsta speak for Logan Aquatic Center, which, ironically, is populated by gangstas and an inordinate amount of Wal-Mart’s finest. Anyhow, probably the last time we’ll go this summer, which makes me somewhat sullen, because there’s not much summer left. Sigh.

Do you think that Burrito is BIG enough for JJ…maybe a little to big. I think that burrito could feed Ma and Pa for a week. Yummy!!!
JJ and I had a lot of fun on our hot date Saturday. We missed seeing everyone at the reunion. I know we are slackers, but you all still love us right?
